Life Extension MacuGuard Ocular Support with Saffron & Astaxanthin is a formula delivering a blend of carotenoids and botanical extracts in a single daily softgel. At its core is the MacuGuard proprietary blend, supplying 10 mg of free lutein, 4 mg of meso-zeaxanthin & trans-zeaxanthin, and mixed carotenoids. The formula includes phospholipids.
Complementing the carotenoid base are 20 mg of saffron extract (from the stigma), 6 mg of natural astaxanthin derived from a CO₂ extract of Haematococcus pluvialis algae, and 2.2 mg of C3G (cyanidin-3-glucoside) sourced from European black currant fruit extract.
Formulated by Life Extension, MacuGuard Ocular Support is gluten-free and delivered in an easy-to-swallow softgel suspended in extra virgin olive oil. Each pack contains 60 softgels, providing a full two-month supply at one softgel per day.
